4. Press‑Fit Connection Method
Adopt proven thin‑wall stainless steel Double Press‑Fit Connection. No welding, threading or glue required. Fit the fitting onto matched stainless steel pipe, then apply radial compression on both fitting sockets with dedicated hydraulic press tool. The inner EPDM O‑ring is compressed to achieve dual performance of high‑strength mechanical locking and sealing. Each joint can be finished within seconds for fast installation. Joints feature excellent pull‑out resistance and anti‑vibration performance to realize permanent leak‑proof connection, suitable for concealed piping inside walls or ceilings in residential projects.

Stainless Steel Pipes and Fittings Press‑Fit Connection Method
The typical installation process includes:
 |
1. Cutting
Confirm the pipe length needed, and cut it with approved burr-free cutters.
Oxy-acetylene torches and abrasive cut-off wheels are not suitable.
|
 |
2. Deburring
Carefully deburr all pipe cuts inside and outside with a deburrer. Remove any cutting residue thoroughly.
|
 |
3. Assess and mark insertion depth
Mark the pipe with a fine-point felt pen where it meets the fitting for verification of full insertion.
|
 |
4. Check the o-ring
Check the positioning of the o-ring, and lubricate the o-ring with water or talc to ease insertion of the pipe if necessary. Make sure the pipe and fitting are clean and free of oil and sundries.
|
 |
5. Inserting the pipe into the fitting
The pipe is inserted in the fitting with a slight rotating motion until it hits the stop. Check the pipe against the felt pen mark to ensure complete insertion. And the insertion should not be forced at an angle, which will easily cause damage to the o-ring.
|
 |
6. Pressing
Position the jaw over the fitting, creating a perfect fit with the internal channel of the jaw around the toroidal seat of the fitting. Make sure that the jaws are perpendicular to the joint, and squeeze the trigger to initiate the press cycle, holding it down for the full duration of press cycle.
|
 |
7. Confirming the size of joint
Confirm the size of joint by measuring the section dimension with a special gauge.

6. Material Options: Grade 304 & 316L Stainless Steel
Two mainstream stainless steel grades 304 (S30408) and 316L (S31603) are available for different residential water‑supply working conditions.
‑ Stainless Steel 304: Cost‑effective option for ordinary inland residential potable water systems, offering good rust‑proof and hygienic performance for standard household hot‑cold water supply.
‑ Stainless Steel 316L: Molybdenum‑added grade with superior chloride‑ion corrosion resistance. Ideal for coastal residences, hard‑water or high‑chlorine water conditions, with extended service life, preferred for high‑end residential projects.
Standard seal is hygienic EPDM O‑ring, potable‑water approved, temperature‑resistant and anti‑aging.

11. FAQ
Q1. Are stainless steel press fittings suitable for the food and beverage industry?
Yes, for suitable piping applications where the material, sealing elements, connection design, and operating conditions meet the project requirements. Direct food-contact and hygienic process applications require additional suitability verification.
Q2. Should I choose AISI 304 or AISI 316L press fittings?
The choice depends on the conveyed medium, cleaning chemicals, temperature, chloride exposure, and other operating conditions. AISI 316L may be preferable in certain more demanding corrosion environments, but the actual application must be evaluated.
Q3. Can stainless steel press fittings reduce installation time?
The press connection method can simplify assembly and reduce on-site welding work in suitable applications. Actual installation time depends on system design, pipe size, tooling, and installation conditions.
Q4. What information should I provide when requesting a quotation?
Please share the required material grade, fitting types, dimensions, quantities, working pressure and temperature, conveyed medium, applicable standards, and destination market. For hygienic process applications, please also specify the cleaning requirements and any required food-contact documentation.
