The quality is also good, but the inspection methods are stricter. Butt welding requires X-ray inspection. Socket welding can be used for magnetic particle or permeability testing (carbon powder, penetrating carbon steel) such as stainless steel). If the fluid in the pipeline does not require high welding requirements, socket welding is recommended. The connection type that is convenient for testing is mainly small Diameter valves and pipes are used for pipe joints and pipe welding. Small diameter pipes are usually thin, prone to edge dislocation and ablation, and are difficult to butt welding. They are suitable for socket welding and socket welding. Welding sockets are often used under high pressure due to their reinforcing effect, but socket welding also has disadvantages. One is that the stress condition after welding is not good and it is difficult to completely melt. The trend is: there are gaps in the piping system, so it is not suitable for crevice corrosion-sensitive media and piping systems with high cleanliness requirements; socket welding is used; there are ultra-high pressure pipes. Even in small diameter pipes, it has a large wall thickness, and socket welding can be avoided as much as possible by butt welding.
